  • A SIPP is a Self Invested Personal Pension

  • You choose where your pension funds are invested, options include:-

    • Investing in Property

      • SIPPs can not buy individual residential property, but they can invest in Residential Property Funds

    • Pension and cash funds

    • Online Investment in Unit Trusts and collective investments

    • Protected Rights / Contracted Out Funds

      • Protected Rights can now be self invested

  • Whether you self invest or not, a SIPP is hugely flexible

    • You choose how you take income when you retire

    • Annuities need never be purchased; you can choose Income Drawdown

    • You can retire, take tax free cash, and draw an income from your pension

    • If you want, you can draw a zero income to leave more in your pension

    • On your death the remaining pension funds can go to your children

  • Companies can put in a Group SIPP for their staff

  • Controlling Directors can start a SSAS and buy commercial property such as offices
