  • What is the Starter SIPP?

    • It is a low cost, flexible product designed for people who don't yet need a full SIPP

    • The Starter SIPP is a sort of hybrid between a full sipp and a personal pension

  • What can my Starter SIPP invest in?

    • You can chose from 80 pension investment funds from major fund managers

    • Fund Managers include Gartmore, Investec, Invesco, Fidelity, Newton, Schroder, Merrill Lynch

  • If I have a Starter SIPP and then I decide to buy property, what can I do?

    • This is why it is called a Starter SIPP, it has started you on the SIPP route and we can at any time turn it into a full SIPP

    • So, you don't pay the charges for a fully functional SIPP with all the bells and whistles until and unless you need it

    • But if you do need our full SIPP we can switch it over for you simply and cheaply

  • What about when I retire?

    • We can arrange Annuity or Income Drawdown, we will discuss with you at the time what meets your needs and requirements

  • And if I die?

    • Just like with a full sipp, you can choose what happens to your funds if you die

  • How much do I need to get my Starter SIPP going?

    • Just £10,000 and/or £200 per month

  • And what are the charges?

    • There is no set-up cost

    • There is no administrative cost

    • There is no advice charge

    • The only charge is a simple annual management charge

      • This can be as little as 0.80% per annum; the specialist funds are more than this

  • Can I transfer old pensions into my Starter SIPP?

    • Yes, provided that they are at least £10,000

      • And the funds are currently in stakeholder or personal pensions

  • Can I transfer Protected Rights funds into my Starter SIPP?

    • Yes, Protected Rights funds (from contracted out) are accepted

  • Is the Starter SIPP the best option for me?

    • Probably Yes, if you want to pay in monthly

    • Probably Yes, if you have less than £20K to pay in or to transfer in

    • Quite probably Yes, if you have less than £60K to pay/transfer in and you don't want to invest in property
